How do I get started?

The settings page opens after installation. In “Focus settings”, pick a mode and add a few topics (or add a suggested bundle in one click). Then choose the free trial or enter your own API key under “Settings → Service mode”. Finally switch on “Auto-analyze” at the top and allow Chrome’s website access. Open an article and the label appears on the page and on the toolbar icon. Switch the interface to English under “Settings → Language”.

How do I get an API key?

Sign up at typesafe.ai and create an API key. Enter it under “Settings → Service mode → API Key” and click “Validate and use”. Validation sends one very small request. After that your TypeSafe account pays for analyses, and a failure never falls back to the free trial.

How large is the free trial?

Up to 100 analyses per install, and it does not reset. When the platform’s overall budget runs out, the free service pauses; switch to your own API key then.

Why was a page not analyzed?

These are skipped: search results, feeds, profile and other list pages; sign-in, payment and known sensitive sites; sites in your “Excluded addresses”; pages with too little text (roughly under 100 letters or 50 Chinese characters); videos without subtitles; block pages and human-verification pages. The extension does not run in incognito windows.

What if a label is wrong?

Click the toolbar icon, open “Is this result right?” below the result and pick the right label. Your choice is kept on this device and reused the next time you open the page. You can also click “Analyze again”.

It keeps saying the service cannot be reached

The System2 service runs on Vercel in Tokyo, Japan. If your network cannot reach vercel.app addresses, analysis fails with a message that the cloud service cannot be reached.

What data is sent, and how do I delete it?

See the privacy policy. Under “Settings → Privacy and data” you can clear the cache and manual labels, or delete all data.

How do I report a problem?

“Report a bug” at the bottom of the settings page opens an email with a template for you to review and send. It never attaches page content, URLs or your key.
